Members exhibited at the usual location of the Burgh Hall, now after its refurbishment known as Bearsden Hall, which provides a modern space for display of (usually) hundreds of framed and unframed works for sale. This year's sale was well supported by the public and 59 works were sold. The club would like to thank all who visited and every club member who submitted work for sale.
April 13th - May 23rd 2019
Daily except Sunday and Monday
As usual the club will have the use of the Lillie Art Gallery, Milngavie for our annual exhibition which allows members to display their work to the public www.edlc.co.uk Most exhibits are for sale, in the setting of a well established gallery which houses part of the permanent collection of East Dunbartonshire Council. Our exhibition will appeal to most with an interest in art, including ceramics, textiles, sculpture and multi-media. Club prizewinners display their work alongside other work by members who are exhibiting for the first time, but this is a quality exhibition which attracts attention from near and far. Oils, watercolour, pastels, acrylic, and mixed media all feature.
The club exhibition is partnered by other exhibitions curated by the Lillie Gallery. See edlc.co.uk for further details.
Members wishing to enter the competition, the Gregor Ian Smith Award, should note the topic is "Country Life".
